Greetings and salivations!

I'm a 33 year-old guy in Ottawa.

My recipe journal: ironchefseb

Some random and completely useless facts about me:
  • I'm gay. I love looking at guys, but I'm not obsessed with that fact (it's just one aspect of my personality) and while a lot of my friends are gay, I'm not really part of the "gay community".

  • I was diagnosed with Crohn's disease (an annoying autoimmune disease where your immune system attacks your digestive system) in September 2005, but now that I think about it, I've probably had it since I was around 10 or 11. It keeps me thin and lets me eat as much simple carbs as I want, so it's definitely not all bad. It's caused a lot of problems for me, but I take it one day at a time and stock clothes in lots of different sizes since at any given time, my body weight can fluctuate 100 lbs or so.

  • My biggest hobby is learning Mandarin Chinese: 我學中文學了一年多了。我會讀簡體在可是我更喜歡讀寫繁體字因為我覺得繁體字又漂亮又有意思。漢字現在我認識一千六百左右。如果你會說漢語,你就應該給我送電郵所以我可以練習根你說漢語。

  • I also adore watching TV and I'm not ashamed to admit it. If you ignore reality TV, I find there are actually quite a few quality shows on television right now. My absolute favourites include Modern Family, Workaholics, Nurse Jackie, United States of Tara, The Big C, 30 Rock, Bob's Burgers, Bones, Community, Degrassi, Dexter, Doctor Who, Happy Endings, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Men of a Certain Age, The Middle, Outsourced, Parenthood, Skins, Torchwood, True Blood, and White Collar, but that's just a fraction of the shows I watch in a year :D.

  • Spirituality is important to me. While I think my religious beliefs might be best described as embracing infinity, I call myself Taoist, and I practice things like Reiki, Kundalini yoga, shamanic dance, and meditation.

  • I love to flirt with cute boys. It's fun!

  • I've been married to my hubby bonoboboy (Jeff) since May 2004, and no, it's not for the gay health insurance :D.

  • We have seven "kids": mah boi Fritz (aka Mewface, Frou, Punky Mewster, and eight billion other bad nicknames) who lives with his grandparents; a previously disturbingly fat, now supermodel slender Calico named Zoe (aka zwe); a formerly little, now enormously massive orange bundle of love, Max (aka Myorxwharl, said in Coach Z accent); 'Punz (short for Rapunzel), a bossy babe who's sweet as sucrose; a gorgeous sex-puss extraordinaire who gets into everything, especially my heart, named Duncan (aka Yagunglepoos); a whiny flea bitten mutt Sonic (aka the Poopsmith, Pewpsmyff, the Hated One, JD's Dog); and the always-fashionable ball python Artemis (Fartemis when he gets me mad, which for a ball python, happens surprisingly more often than you'd think ;p).

  • I got my Master's degree in computer science (combinatorics) *geeky snort* in October 2004, and since that wasn't brutal enough, I'm currently suffering through my Ph.D. in (also combinatorics) at the University of Ottawa *more geeky snorts and glasses adjustments*. My area of interest is design theory, and specifically, t-designs, and covering arrays.

  • I'm convinced that gay geeks are an endangered species and because of that, we have to do our best to reproduce with each other or die trying.

  • I try to live healthy most of the time but often fail. I adore cooking: my passions are Thai food - which I've been making for over 12 years now and like to think I cook expertly - and Malaysian food, particularly Nyonya style - which I'm just learning how to make. I'm also recently getting into Chinese food, particularly Cantonese (which is surprising, because I thought I would prefer Szechuan, but the converse is true).

  • I'm a unix.boi, and I love my MacBook Pro! (Backlit keyboard + sexy Unix for the win.)

Other weird and random facts:
  • I could never be a vegetarian. I can't pass by a field of cows without getting hungry. Cows are tasty bits of heaven packed into potential leather jackets.

  • Cold water, math, rubber of various sorts, and cold ears all strangely turn me on.

  • I think that teenage boys are uberhawt.

  • I'm uncut, anti-circumcision, and proud. All penis is good penis, but uncut penises are 3812938876anus372 times better.

  • I love writing, and I'm currently writing my eleventh novel. I'm a huge fan of both the 3-Day Novel Competition and NaNoWriMo.

  • I like to collect weird shit, like gas masks, Papua New Guinea penis covers, and strange animals. My next pet will be a giant centipede (or more snakes... you can never have enough snakes).

That's all. You are dismissed ;p. Check out my webpage for pics and more info!

This is what I think of colour bars:

Girl Guide Seb is dirty, twisted, perverted, transvestite, pedophilic merit-badge cookie love.
